A homeowner from Hicksville called because a leak was found in the ceiling from one of the skylight windows. Our Klaus representative performed a thorough inspection and an itemized proposal was issued for repair to the skylight roof area. The Klaus Roofing Team removed the old, cracked shingles and damaged plywood, then sealed the skylight window, layered copper flashing and replaced the roof with new plywood. Next the seams of the plywood were taped, and all the Klaus exclusive underlayers were applied to the roof deck. Lastly, the shingles were nailed down with ring shank galvanized nails. The homeowner will now feel confident in all weather and safe under the new Klaus roof.
Klaus Roofing by Triple H replaced a roof in Kings Park. Part of this roof project was installing a new ShingleVentII Ridge Vent. Ventilation you say. Yes, making sure your roof is properly vented is very important. During the colder months you want to make sure your roof is properly vented to help reduce ice dams. In the hotter months you want to make sure your roof is vented properly to relieve the strain on the air conditioning system. When a Ridge Vent is installed, you are helping air movement which helps remove heat and moisture. It also helps to minimize moisture. This house now has a beautiful new roof and will be properly ventilated.
A homeowner from Holbrook called because a leak from the back porch ceiling was noticed. Klaus representative Brian performed a free roof inspection and presented an itemized proposal for repairs on a flat/low slope roof. The roofing crew arrived and put out tarps for property protection. Then they removed the layers of old, cracked flat roof and damaged plywood. The flat roof decking was replaced with new plywood, sealed, and then a Klaus exclusive two-ply membrane is installed on the roof. With their home now secure under a new Klaus roof, the homeowner can now rest easy through all weather.
